Alright friends, we’ve made it past the first few days with only a few scars (literally). It was a great weekend of camping/kayaking/lighting fireworks/relaxing/fellowshipping/worshipping/etc. with great friends and family.:)

We left Friday to stay the night with our friends in Bloomington…the plan was to shop for everything we needed, and get all ready to leave Saturday morning around 9:30ish. Everything went as planned, and we were all tired, but ready to go. Saturday morning came, and I was SICK!!! For those of you who don’t know…I can’t vomit. That may not sound like a bad thing, but when u need to puke, it is. I can’t breathe, it hurts like crazy, and actually is very dangerous for my body.

Thankfully, I have a wife who wouldn’t just let it go. She made us go to the ER in Bloomington, where they pumped me full of anti-nausea stuff through an IV for a few hours. Finally around noonish I was released. Sarah and I headed back to Decatur so I could get some rest. Meanwhile, we didn’t know what would happen to our camping trip…but I NEVER get to go camping, so I was determined to heal myself, and knew God could definitely do it. So after prayin’/napping a couple hours, I told Sarah I was ready to go camping. She wasn’t easily convinced, but finally we left, and met our friends at the campsite in Indiana….we got there after 8pm, but still had enough fun, and great talks. Sunday we went kayaking for 15 miles down Sugar Creek, in Indiana. Took us almost7 hours, but we made it. It was a TON of fun, and I’ll post some pictures when I get them developed. Camped again Sunday night, and hung out Monday for a while, before parting ways and heading to Sarah’s sisters’ house.

In Indiana, they have GREAT laws about fireworks, and pretty much anything goes. So we went to one of those huge fireworks warehouses, and bought tons of things that none of us had experience with. Huge rockets/fireworks that needed 40-foot clearance/etc. It was good times, and a TON better than being in IL lighting sparklers or whatever…hehe. Then I headed home last night to be home all day today….a Chadwick day. Workin’ on sermons, studyin…readin’….drinkin’ coffee….relaxing….and getting ready to start my new job the rest of the week.

Pray for Sarah this week, she’s working at a soccer camp in Indiana…she’ll have a ton of fun, and she’s GREAT with kids, and she’ll be able to spend time with her sister, and the baby…..hmmm… Okay, so really u should pray for me. I’m without my wife, and starting a new job, and staying in Peoria where I know nothing and nobody. Thanks.

God bless u all, and I’ll update you as life gets exciting!!!
