Hello everyone….a few words of update..
I GOT A NEW JOB! I’ll hopefully still be allowed to volunteer at the home, because I really enjoyed it, but there was no way we could have survived off what I was getting, and working those nights and weekends stunk butt.
As soon as possible, I’ll begin my training to work as a Radio Air-time salesperson. Selling/creating radio commercials for local businesses. I’ve always loved radio, and wondered about working with a station. It’ll be great experience for the time being, and allow Sarah and I to become a bit more financially stable….which is good when hoping towards a family soon.:)
I’m also talking with the churches here in Decatur about any part-time possibilities. It sounds like a very big possibility we’ll be working part-time at least with one church, perhaps more…I’ll update you as we find out. But anyways…
I praught yesterday morning and night at Trinity Church of the Nazarene. It was awesome!!! I really enjoyed it, and felt blessed to have a chance to preach so soon after moving here. Lord willing, I’ll be called back there in the future…we’ll see.
As usually happens when I’m preparing to preach, God and I get a bit intense. This is one of the reasons I love to preach, but also because of ministering, and preaching the word…man it’s great. Anyways, yesterday morning I praught on Abraham and his son Isaac. We looked at what Isaac would have seen his father doing in honor of God, and talked about how the world watches us when we serve Christ too. It’s important to realize we’re being watched, but not in a bad way….it’s such a gift. Our lives are not only living sacrifices to our Creator, but are also living evangelism. We are telling the world about our relationship with Christ by how we live day by day. What a gift that is!! Sometimes we see it as a burden…”uh-oh, better behave, people here know I love God.” But what if it was always seen as a gift? Not to be rubbed into peoples’ faces….but to live genuinely in love with God, and allow people to be drawn in by that.:) What a gift it can be!
Looking forward to the week ahead. Training, finally having evenings free, and mourning the official loss of the NHL season. I’m thinking of selling my love for the NHL on E-bay….think I’d have any takers? It’s worth quite a bit these days. Rare item. hehe, anyways….God loves you. Amen.

Chadwick…
Brother, gotta say I’m with you all the way in the grieving process for the NHL. This was the Canucks’ year… well, okay, so we’ll never know. But I think they could’ve done it, even if Bertuzzi was behind bars. And now, I mourn. The NBA dunk contest is cool and all, but I’m left missing the Zamboni and blood on the ice and missing teeth.
By the way, it’s good to hear you’re doing well after your move. Was just thinking about all of the NYC peeps the other day — hopefully our paths will cross again sometime in the future.
