Whew…sorry it’s been so long, fellow bloggers. The tendency when I wait this long to blog, is to go really long, and bore all of you to the point you never want to read this again. I’ll attempt to steer clear of that. Anyways..here we go…

Some things I’ve learned recently:

– It’s embarrassing to have a bloody nose in the middle of an appointment. But entirely possible to fake a runny nose long enough to get out without bleeding all over.

– “principalities” does not refer exclusively to spirits, but is also very connected to the human counterparts and agencies.

– The Red Wings DEFINITELY have a chance at Lord Stanley’s ultimate toy this season.

– I do have friends and family who still want to interact in a manly way. (at least 11). I started up an NHL Fantasy league, and there are 12 of us. It’s really stinkin’ fun so far.

– You have to plan to have a day full of accomplishments.

– The United States Post Office is much more efficient, inexpensive, and uses better colors than FedEx, UPS, DHL, and all the other delivery wannabe’s.

– Blackalicious is a really good rap group…even Pigeon John thinks so.

– It was a lot easier for me to act “ghetto” back in Iowa. Decatur actually IS ghetto. Hard to be a rap fan here without looking like a dweeb. (but that doesn’t stop me….yo )

– “Your mom” jokes are funnier the more you use them.

– And finally – Professors will still teach you, and guide you….even when you’re not paying them thousands to do so.!!! God bless those He has called to teach!!

Alright, enough said for now. God bless….and much love.

Okay everyone….whew…what a couple weeks it has been!!!

I was in Atlanta, GA for training with Pitney Bowes, and am on my way to becoming a Certified Postal Consultant! Who would’ve thought, eh? Well, if you have any questions on document creation, mailpiece production, mail discounts and rates, and shipping/recieving issues….I’m your man.

Anyways, after a couple weeks of lectures/notes/projects…I finished the week strong with a 99% on my final exam. Why, you might ask, didn’t I get such a good grade back in college? Hmm…I have only one excuse.

You can hold knowledge of the USPS in your brain.

Knowledge/thoughts on God are a bit harder to figure out.

I realize that’s a bad excuse…but deal with it. hehe.

I also turned 24 while I was gone, here’s an update on my birthday list:
Mom got me a phat coffee maker that grinds AND brews.
Sarah got me The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Through Painted Deserts, Seinfeld Season 4, Really good granola, and……

2 TICKETS TO SEE THE WINGS BEAT THE HAWKS ON OCTOBER 29th!!!! WHOO HOO!!!! That’s right, my incredibly phenomenal see right through me wife looked right past my official birthday list and got me something I’ll never forget!!! I may have to take her shopping in Chicago that day to prepare her for hockey…but I don’t care…:) I’m so excited!!!

One last thing…got a letter from a teen today. A girl we had in youth group back in Iowa, who had made some bad choices. It’s great to hear she’s doing well. It’s a gift from God to know my time there had an impact on her life. It’s a gift of HOPE for every single tomorrow, knowing the time spent with any given teenager can be multiplied by the infinite through Christ…and can impact His Kingdom greatly.
