Alright everyone….u’re running out of time!! ( See birthday list in previous blog below)

So I fly out on Monday for about 2 weeks in Atlanta, GA. Yes, it’s away from home. Yes, they have tennis courts. Yes, they have hiking trails. Yes, they have bike rentals. Yes, I get a room mate. Yes, I’m bringing good books to read. Yes, I’ll eat stuff like lobster and steak all week.

NO- It is not going to be a vacation.

Imagine a week entirely focused on Postal Knowledge, and learning about the different types of machinery/equipment/software a Worldwide company sells. From 8am to 5pm, sitting and listening, and taking notes because you have to pass an exam at the end of it all, or you lose your job pretty much.

I could do without it all.

Plus, my wife can’t come. We’re not fans of being apart for that amount of time, really. And with my birthday being the 18th….well that’s just poopy. I don’t get home until late night on the 21st. Ah well.

There, the truth is out there….sometimes even Chadwick wants to gripe. 🙂 But honestly, it will be good. Besides the classes and studying…I have nothing set to do. I have no places to go, and no car even if I wanted to. I can spend hours this week walking with God, and spending time quietly in His presence with the Word and a good book. My days might be crazy, but each night will hopefully be a few hours of sabbatical from the world I’m used to.

Still, I wish Sarah could come with me. I’d love to give her a sabbatical sometimes. We all need time away from our usual pressures. It helps us to gain perspective on so much.

Anyway….I shall try to xanga at least once from Georgia…so stay tuned!!! God bless u all, and have a great week!!!!
